Scope of the foundation

Camurus Lipid Research Foundation supports research on the biophysics and chemistry of lipids, their structure and assembly in relation to their function in biological systems and biomedical/clinical applications. This involves fundamental studies on model systems as well as in applications, using the experimental as well as the theoretical tool-box. Past support involves studies of so-called cubic membranes in living cells, modeling of curvature in lipid assemblies, lipid formulations with enzymes, the effect of lipolysis on lipid assembly structures as well as lipid based drug delivery formulations.

Research projects are currently reviewed for support on an invitation only basis.
